FAQ About Long Distance Relationships
The Clarion Ledger has a piece with a few questions about long distance relationships. The question below was the one that caught my eye.
Do couples in long distance relationships cheat on one another more frequently? [Source: CL]
This was a rather interesting question to me because if you don’t really put thought into it; you’d assume that because people are far away, they cheat, because it’s easy to do so and they get lonely. However if you critically think about the issue you might begin to realize that distance might not have as much to do with cheating as one would think. If someone is going to cheat, then they are going to cheat. It doesn’t matter if they are 500 miles away or 5 feet away. If a persons morals tell them that cheating is ok then they are going to. So really, distance has very little to do with it. It’s more related to what kind of person you are having a relationship with.
