A Modern Man’s Guide to Dating

Posted by LD Diva on October 1st, 2007

Maybe you just broke up with someone. Perhaps you are bored and you just want to start dating now. Dating is such a sticky topic. For some people it’s very easy to jump into the dating game full force. For others, that’s not such an easy task.

I believe I already mentioned that I have somewhat different views on dating. I don’t like dating and what it’s become. I prefer building meaningful relationships without all the hype. Nevertheless dating is still necessary in most cases, so if you have to, you might as well do it right.

The Modern Man is a dating site run by dating coaches. Ladies, this site is geared towards men, but you still might benefit from checking it out just so you can get an idea on a man’s point of view on dating. I think it’s good to know what’s going on in the minds of men and what they are being taught.

The site has 5 main features. You can read expert articles on topics such as “building confidence with women.” There’s also an audio section that has more expert advice. Next there’s a video section that has videos of men meeting women in public. I always find media like that to be quite entertaining.

It’s quite clear that this site wants to help men learn about dating because another feature is a dating research section and you can also get email tips from this dating site.

You do have to enter your name and email address to access a lot of the content on the site. But they do have a privacy policy in place that says “We will use the information for internal marketing purposes only. The Modern Man does not sell, exchange, or release your personal information (name, e-mail address, mailing address, credit data, etc.)”

However if you browse around you will be able to access some of the content without giving them your email if you aren’t comfortable with that. I went to the about page and found some free articles.

My only complaint is that finding that information was a little difficult as the site navigation is a bit confusing. It’s hard to tell what’s free, what’s not free, and what the overall goal of the site is. Is the goal to provide free information or to sell an e-book, or sell some sort of course? Or maybe it’s a combination of all of the above?
