1. It allows you to get to know a person on a deeper level- without throwing in physical aspects that can lead to confusion.
2. Long distance relationships allow you to get creative. You learn how to stay close when you are far away. You come up with cute ideas on how to make the person feel special. You discover how to make time for closeness when you are busy and on different schedules. Hopefully those skills will continue once you aren’t separated by distance.
3. You get to look forward to visits. There’s nothing like the anticipation of seeing your loved one after you’ve been away from them for weeks or even months.
4. Getting daily emails, text messages when you are at work, and e-cards when you least expect it is quite fun. Once you see how it adds to your relationship,you’ll be more inclined to keep it going once you have that person in your life on a daily basis.
5. You’ll find out how committed you really are. If you can get through a ldr, you can get through any obstacle that comes up in your relationship.
