Holiday Time
The holiday season is coming up quickly. If you are smart, you’ve already started to make your travel arrangements because the costs are going up quickly. But what if you can’t spend the holiday with your partner? Maybe you can’t get time of of work or perhaps you simply can’t afford it. Maybe you need to be at home with your family.
The holidays can be depressing if you can’t spend it with the person you want to be with, but that doesn’t mean you have to sit and pout. Get creative!
- Make a nice video and send it to your partner. Time it so that it arrives right around the holidays.
- Call them as soon as you wake up (provided that you are in compatible time zones), talk about what you are going to do that day and wish them happy holidays. Call them again in the afternoon, and then again in the evening.
- Journal, Journal, Journal…if you’ve been keeping a journal for them, now is the time to send it.
- Send them a gift. This should be obvious but sometimes its not.
- Visit them anyway. Surprise them. That would be the best gift you can give.
