Seriously, you guys need to stop hating on MTV. If you don’t like what they’re showing, then don’t watch. I think I can speak for all of us that everyone is not going to believe that all long distance relationships wont work simply because they saw this one show. Be it that I’m sure some of you are in long distance relationships and I am just now replying to posts that were written 2 years ago, I’d like to see how many of you are doing great in your LTR too. I don’t think that MTV personally goes out of their way to choose couples they believe are always going to show negative outcomes. It’s called True Life. Surely you have all reached the age to know that life doesn’t prevail happy endings for everything. What they are showing are true outcomes because I can’t possibly believe that MTV has some clairvoyant staff member onboard that can predict the outcome of these relationships from the beginning. P.S. I just finished watching 5 True Life episodes where I still saw happy endings for couple, however they were not the couples I would have wanted to see happy endings for. Go figure!

As someone who was in a real LDR (lived halfway across the country from each other) that worked for over a year before I moved in with him, I didn’t like the episode. As a critic of LDRs, I would’ve been stoked to see 2 more couples fail horribly at it. Next time a little success would be nice. I’m still with my boyfriend of now 3 1/2 years and we have a child together.

The LDR episode from True Life is one of my favorites, for sure. Stephanie is gorgeous and, from the portrayal on the show, she was just wasting her time with that guy. But, I also thought that she was way over-dramatic, but as she mentioned, that was done for the show, and seeing as how reality shows need drama, that makes sense. Anyway, good luck to Stephanie and Michael… I just saw her Facebook and see that they are still together, if that picture is recent.

I actually thought that MTV did a relatively accurate portrayal despite only being half an hour long.

These women are real on this show. These men are fools!!! They act like little boys. They dress like little boys. Que and David be some “ignant” fools!!!! This has nothing to do with long distance relationships but has to do with these ghetto playas who tryna play a girl until she wises up and makes them stop playing. Don’t date a black man they will let you down!!!

I just seen the show today and i think that not a real long distant relationship i live in okniawa and my girl lives in chicago and shyt is not easy…….but that dude is a to much of a little kid and still on that high skool buillshit
