How Do I Get Him To Be More Romantic?
Q: We have our ups and downs but things seem to be going ok. He used to be a lot more romantic though. How can I get him to show me more romance?
A: I’ve written about how you can keep the romance alive by keeping it spicy, sending emails, exchanging journals, and sending ecards; however none of this means a thing unless you communicate with your partner. You can wish for all the romance in the world but it’s not going to happen if you don’t let the other person know. Be careful not to criticize him as that will make him defensive (and rightfully so). Instead make sure to compliment him every time he does something romantic to you and bring it up in conversation, “I really like it when you…, do you think you could …….more often?” See where the discussion goes but be sure not to turn the discussion into an argument.
