Your Long Distance Relationship Might Be Over If…
These aren’t definites, but here are some clues that your long distance relationship is over….or it’s one it’s way.
1) The person stops talking to you without explanation. When you finally get in contact with them, they sound flustered and give you a silly excuse. Rememeber communication is the basis of a long distance relationship so if you don’t have that, you have nothing.
2)Things are really one-sided. You start to notice that you are always the one calling. You are always the one sending emails. You are always the one coming to visit. Relationships are a two way street and one-sidedness will eventually lead to bitterness. Besides, if someone wants a relationship to work, they will make effort not excuses as to why they can’t do things.
3) Their Myspace/Facebook says single. And they don’t plan on changing it. Meanwhile you notice tons of inappropriate comments from people they know, not spammers. You might also notice recent photos that are questionable. Long Distance or not, this is a major clue that someone lacks respect for you and your relationship. The excuses for this range from “that’s just my friend” to “why are you all in my business” to “why are you so paranoid, gosh!”
Don’t think that one sign means things are automatically doomed, however you also shouldn’t bury your head in the sand when a major warning sign is staring you in the face, blinking, and flashing lights all at the same time.
Love is wonderful, but it also makes you lose a bit of common sense if you aren’t careful. Don’t let your heart overshadow your brain.
