I Love You…Ya or Nay?
Q: Should you say “I Love You” or should you not say it because then it will get tired and old?
A: If you mean it then say it. If you don’t mean it, then yes it will get old. Who wants to keep repeating something that they don’t mean? Who wants to hear meaningful words that sound fake?
Q: We have been in a long distance relationship for a few months. I told my bf that I love him and he quickly got off the phone with me. Did I make a mistake?
A: It depends. You won’t know until you talk to him again. When I first told my husband (then boyfriend) that I loved him it was quite uncomfortable.
He responded with “huh?” I then said “I love you.” He stuttered and say “I umm..I umm..ummm I feel the same way.” Talk about awkward. I felt like I made a HUGE mistake.
A few hours later he told me about how he was feeling at the moment and he knew that his response was odd, and that he cared about me; and then he ended with “I guess what I’m trying to say is that I love you too.”
