My Boyfriend is a Jerk
Q: We’ve been together for three months and he’s moving. I am very much in love with him but he says that Long Distance Relationships don’t work out. I’ve never been in one before but I want to ty. He says he wants to continue the relationship for now but he doesn’t know about after he moves. He says he loves me though. What am I supposed to do? Should I wait for him to decide?
A: What is there to think about? Either someone wants to be in a long distance relationship or they don’t. Scratch the long distance part; either someone wants to continue a relationship with you or they don’t.
If someone told me, “I’m moving and I have to think about whether I still want to be with you” that is all I’d need to hear.
Long Distance Relationships require a great amount of commitment, dedication, and confidence; if someone is the slightest bit unsure then it’s not even worth it.
Couple that with the fact that he has the audacity to think that you’d continue a relationship with him while sitting on pins and needles wondering if he’s going to break up with you…come on.
Save yourself some aggravation and tell him it was fun while it lasted.
